I have a 39 Ford 2-door Deluxe convertible and for several reasons, decided to change to modern running gear. I put it on a TCI frame with a 302 Ford and AOD trans and 9" Ford rear end. At least, it is still Ford. I would like to install a 40 Ford dash rather than retain the 39 dash. I'm not sure what problem(s) I'll run into. Will someone shed some light on this for me. Thanks.

You can probably put the 40 dash in your convert, but it may be a fair amount of work and modification to the 40 dash. It is not just a bolt-in job. IMHO I like the 39 dash better than the 40. If you are looking to put in aftermarket gauges there are many companies that make them to fit the gauge holes in the 39 dash.
