Aren't there 2 seals on 37-39 models - One that fits in the frame and one that fits on the body of the car?

I'm looking for a source for the seal that fits on the body of the car.

No rubber seal was used on the body or window opening just the frame. From expierience the Bob Drake rubber seal is better than the ill fitting Carpenter one at least on this appication.I have used both.

As "37coupe" has advised; there was only a seal on the windshield frame in 1939 - none on the body.

Forgive my ignorance on this, but this is my 1st 37 coupe project. 37, 38 and 39 windshields all seem to be two piece with screws holding the sections together on each side. Does the windshield frame need to come apart to install the gasket?
Thanks

No, you don't have to take the windshield apart to install the gasket.I would remove the windshield from the car and then spend time cleaning out the groove that holds the gasket in place. Use an ice pick with a bent end or any other type tool that will get into the groove and remove any of the old rubber remnants.
