Topic: 1937 window regulator

I'm trying to remove the regulator for the front window in my 37 Tudor. There is a bolt on the rear regulator arm that is a stop. There is a nut on the back side of it, but it would be a pain to try to get a wrench on it. Does anyone know if this is the case? Someone in my local v8 club thought it was welded in place. The bolt is really tight, and I don't want to just try to crank on it if there is a better way.

The stop is a shoulder bolt with a nut on the back side, between the regulator and the outer door skin. It should not be a problem to remove. The stop has to come out for the arms that slide in the channels to come close together so they will come out of the glass lower channel.

Thanks! That's what I thought. The shoulder bolt is on pretty tight. I don't want to cam out and ruin the head on it.

If it's rusty, try some "PB Blaster". If that doesn't work, try some heat.
