Topic: Original Seat Upholstery for 34 Tudor

I found something very interesting while I was disassembling the front seat backs and bottoms on my '34 tudor that I am restoring. The seats have had a black 'vinyl' type of upholstery on them since the mid-60's. I had never bothered to look underneath to see what was there. It would appear that the previous owner just put the cheap vinyl over the original upholstery with some type of padding in-between. While what appears to be tan colored mohair is certainly worn, it is also not in too bad shape. My question is how might I be able to tell if the material is the original? I can post pictures if that would help.

Thanks,
Ron

The best authority on original upholstery that I know of is LeBaron Bonney. Many of the original fabrics and related materials are no longer made, but they offer very close repros.
