Topic: 38 Ford Flatty

I have a 38 Ford standard coupe that is all original with an 85 horse flatty. When I first crank it up when it's cold it runs really rough like it's running on 4 or 5 cylinders. After it runs awhile like 5-10 minutes and warms up it starts running like a clock on all cylinders? Any idea what I'm dealing with here because I'm stumped. Thanks for any input you may have.

Pull the spark plugs and check them for signs of oil or fuel contamination. Normal color of the tip is tan. Too rich fuel mixture produces black, and oil is shown by a thick deposit. There should be a fair amount of uniformity between plugs. Be sure to npte which plug goes where to help determine which cylinders are most affected.

Almost sounds like it's too rich on start up and after it warms up it clears the plugs.
