My 1953 Victoria has been converted to 12v and I need to know if the original cigar lighter will work? Will I need to go to a 12v lighter as I've seen them listed in the C&G catalog? thanks

The cigarette lighter pops out when it heats. It might just pop out faster (heat faster) on 12-volts. Richard

Your original will work just fine. the socket doesn't care if it's 6 or 12. As 51f1 says the element will just pop out a little sooner.
