We just returned from the 2013 Glidden Tour in Chattanoooga inour 1934 Ford Fordor V8. There were 30 Flathead Fords (Including 2 Lincolns) The oldest was a 1933 and the newest a 1941 who drove 1189 miles from Texas. How can a guy guy (person) find a better car show than 233 Pre-WWII vehicles in action? We had about 6 cars that were 100 years old or older and another 6 brass cars, 2 Yellowstone White Tour Busses, plus about every other make, known or unknown up to 1942. (You don't ever see that at a show!) We had hills, mountains, rivers, city streets and country roads. We rode a train, a river boat, an incline railroad, a shuttle tram and golf carts. We laughed, worried, danced and prayed we wouldn't over heat like the Model A's. We had the only week of hot summer that Chatanooga got this year, without rain. I logged over 500 miles for the week, then treated myself to a new set of tires to be ready to do it again. Watch the V8 Times for s story and pictures. 1934 Ford's since 1972

we did a AACA tour around western NC and had a ball. drove our 40 wagon over 500 miles, one day in the rain, there were other V8 Fords, 41 pick-up, 48 ragtop, 46 merc, couple of mercs in the 50's and a few A's, only about 88 cars total so V8's were well represented.
