See page 2-10 of the 38-9 restoration book. Two stamped steel brackets, using the 48-714028 convex washers and mounted with a bolt. The brackets have rubber pads between the fender and brackets.

I have not seen the bracket reproduced, or the special washer under the fender. The washer is convex on one side only, flat on the other. I believe the earlier brackets 37-38 are cast and not stamped. You may want to check this. This message was edited by 40 Coupe on 9-17-13 @ 4:02 AM
