Topic: carb hook up problem

I am trying to connect my fuel line from the pump to the carb (97 Strom). The brass valve at the end of the fitting with the bearing (needle and seat set?) is too small to fit into the carb fitting (won't thread). Is there an adapter to join the two threads?
Any help is appreciated.

One or the other is the wrong fitting, or the fitting has been cross threaded. Soft metal fine threads are easy to damage when a metal line is involved. Determine which is damaged, and order a replacement.

Over the years many of the 97 carburetor top casting had their input valve threads damaged and the repair at the time was to re-tap the hole to a larger size and use a oversize input valve. Today Uncle Max can repair the top casting threads back to the original size and face the surface so the gasket seals correctly and there are no leaks. Max is the Stromberg warranty repair man.
