My 37 pickup has 39 hydraulic brakes. I need front brake drums. It appears that 36 drums will work although they ride inside the backing plates rather than over the backing plates. Would I be causing any problems using the 36 drums? Thanks for any advice. Charlie

The 36 and 37 brake drums are not interchangeable. Offset of hub and backing plate will not work. I have a 36 Ford and needed 37-39 front drums for wide five bolt pattern to use hydraulic brakes. Rear 36 brake drums will work with hydraulic conversion. Thanks Gary Tosel
