i have a 51 victoria that originaly had a od trans. all i could find was a standard 3 speed for a 51. i also have a overdrive trans from a 53 ford, and am wondering if i can replace the rear portion of the 53 onto the front part of the 51. both trans are the same length. the 53 front portion does not have a place for the clutch, therefore the reason for the switch.
