How is the waterfall secured to the dash? Can it be rechromed if in bad shape?

They are super easy to install. It just hooks on the top. The bottom is attached with two screws on the bottom lip of the dash. It only takes seconds to install. Yes, they can be plated. However, if you wish to go the original route you will need to paint the non-raised part. This involves a lot of tedious and complicated masking, etching or light sanding, then priming and a final painting to complement the dash color. The '35 has a more complicated design which in my opinion, is even harder than the '36 to paint. It doesn't take long to realize why a lot of waterfalls are left unpainted after they are plated!
