Topic: Body lean?

Parked in a shopping center, a friend mentioned he thought my car looked like it was a little low on one side. I assured him it was the uneven pavement, but being a little paranoid I did some measuring with it parked on the concrete floor of my garage. Found only 1/4 inch difference, floor to the center of the shackle bolts on the rear spring, but parked in a different position I found little over one inch difference measuring height from floor to chassis rail on opposite sides. The floor is of course not perfectly level, and am thinking slight difference in tire pressure might also be involved. Thoughts please.

Too picky, Bill. No old Ford I've ever seen sits level. If anyone asks me, I tell 'em that helps me go around the corners!

Check the "U" bolts that clamp the spring into the crossmember. Sometimes if you loosen the nuts and level the car and take up the tension evenly it will level out.

Thanks guys. After more thought I decided it was an unreasonable concern.

Go measure your brand new car, built upon jigs and fixtures, utilizing lasers, etc. - quality beyond imagination when our old Fords were built.
I am betting heavily you just may be within that 1/4" you site. Maybe...
