I have just installed new rear springs in my '51 coupe and the rear end is 25" off the ground ...I measured from the floor to the rear wheel house opening @ the center of the rear axle, I have 15" wheels. Can anyone give me the correct height? It looks to be 2 or 3" to high....and the shackles point up.

I had this once and I stood on the bumper and bounced the car up and down. The springs settled down to the correct height. I hope this works for you. Do the new springs have the same number of leafs as the old springs? Just a couple of thoughts.
