I have an old Kale Equipment RPM and Dwell meter model R-11.
Is anyone familiar with this old tool? I am trying to check the RPMs on my 36 Ford and I am not familiar where the black and red leads go.
Any advise will be appreciated. Also, how would I check the RPMs without a meter?
I know I am supposed to have between 450 and 500 RPMs.
Thanks in advance , dansford

I have a different make but basically the same meter.
Because we have positive ground, the black goes to the point terminal of the coil and the red one to ground. At least that's how mine works.

If you have the stock '36 coil, connect the black wire to the condenser pigtail.
