For the purpose of judging in Concourse Can someone please Enlighten me as to what rubber mounting pads on a 37 Ford should not have a "bead" running around the outer edge. Since all seem to be made with this Bead now, I would assume that a 'perfect" car would have customized ones installed. I realize this is a mute item but the topic has always baffled me. thanks, Sludge

Sludge, I assume you mean the tail light pads, door pads, and deck lid pads. All of these were a thin dark colored cardboard, never rubber. The hood ornament/handle had no pad that I know of. Alan

you can make them out of thin gasket material, you can us dye to make them black or vinal dye that you use for dashes, I also made one for the accesory hood ornament on my 37,to keep the paint getting damaged, hope this helps,37RAGTOPMAN,

The pad used on 37 hood ornament/handle used a black treated paper pad # 78-8227.
