I need a steering box end plate for my 1939 ford. It is the end plate with four bolts in it and a shaft that goes up the middle so the oil doesnt leak out. I broke the tube and cant find one. If you only have the tube I would at least settle for that. Please help! Thanks in advance. Ron

If the tube broke at the end plate you can remove the short broken section, slip the remaining tube in its place, and braze or use JB Weld to secure it.

I was worried that it had to be a certain length?

The 1/2" or so that you loose doesn't seem to matter. I repaired mine that way, filled with 1/2 STP and 1/2 synthetic 85-140, no leaks since.
