I purchased a set of new Edelbrock heads some time ago but have only just have the time to fit them up, I brought a set of new longer studs and head nuts/washers. Any advice on the removal and installation of the longer studs for the block?????
Also was going to go with Felpro head gaskets, are they ok???
I went with all new parts as all the second hand heads I looked at were too corroded for my liking.

It is always best to replace all studs at the same time. Use a good quality stud puller, and go slow. If you clean the threads in the block, use a chaser, not a threading tap. We use Felpro head gaskets.. Good choice to go with new heads. Almost all used heads show considerable erosion from electrolysis. Don't forget to use sealer on the block end of all studs and turn them into the block only until all threads are covered.
