Topic: 38 Solid Seat Back Bracket

I have a 38 standard coupe with a "solid seat back". To enter the area behind the seat, the seat back cushion swings up from the bottom and will lock in the raised position by two brackets on the rear passenger side of the seat. I have both brackets in place, but missing the pin (or ??) that protrudes out of the one bracket to catch the notch in the other swinging bracket that moves with the seat as it is raised. Can anyone tell me what I'm missing that goes through the hole and catches the other bracket notch to hold the seat up. The hole in the bracket where this missing ??? goes is not threaded therefore, I assume a bolt does not go there. Thanks

As I recall than should be a small shoulder bolt. Check with; www.fordbolts.com to see if he has the correct bolt.

You are correct. Received an original from Mass to duplicate and it is #350304-S2 in the 1928-38 Hardware and Trimming Supplies book. Thanks for the assistance Dick!!
