This morning started early with me doing a bit of maintenance to the car. Checking fluids and greasing the front end. Unfortunately the grease gun was new and there was a plug missing and the grease came out everywhere except where it was supposed to. Not a big deal I will remedy that later. Other than that everything was looking ok.
After a gas fill up we headed out to Jackson and into the Grand Teton National Park. Before entering we stopped at the visitors” center and got some tips on where to drive and what to see. We got off the main route and took a road closer to the mountains. Stopped at another visitor center and saw a film I could not stay awake through so we headed down to the Jenny Lake for a boat ride to the base of the mountain. If we had more time we might have ventured out on some of the trails but instead we got a few pics and returned to where we started.
We then drove up to Jackson Lake Lodge where we had a great meal while looking out the window at the mountains. We also caught up with a few people on our group there but would soon be separated. If I want to stop and look at something then I do. We always meet up later.
Driving through the park we followed the ridge and saw a few sign marking the continental divide. Managed to get a pic with my car next to one. As you can see we are at about 8000 feet.
Driving up to Old Faithful we saw an elk by the side of the road. Apparently these animals create traffic jams. People want to get a picture of them. I also got some pics of some bisons.
We went up to Old Faithful where a crowd was gathered to watch the eruption. Pretty amazing seeing a large group of people looking at steam coming out of the ground waiting for the water propulsion.
From there Fred and I headed to the motel, about 30 miles away. It is a 50s type motel with not a lot of updating but it is nice enough. After getting settled we got some torrential downpours and it is still raining a little off and on.
Some of us went out to eat but not too many. The late night meals are not the best thing. I did not have too much just went to socialize. Seems like there should be more but I am late and tired. I mean it is late and I’m tired. Enjoy the few pics I have put up. Connection here is slow.
Link to picture. Early day tomorrow.

Frank , don't forget to see the Yellowstone Falls on the Yellowstone River. If you are going to Cody, Wyoming don't miss the Buffalo Bill museum and eat at the Irma Hotel.

And remember Frank -- a buffalo at 10 miles per hour is almost equal to a concrete pillar at 30 miles per hour. Give them their space.
Also, if the tour goes through Custer State Park in and round Mt Rushmore -- dont get near the donkeys. They know how to open car doors and break windows looking for food. And you thought the bears at Tahoe were menacing.
Drive safe -- see you on the 30th in Minnesota.
