I am in the process of rebuilding my '36 passenger headlight buckets. Does any supplier make a replacement spring clip for the fender mounting bolt pivot? Also, are there any special precautions for removal/installation of the clip? My clips are intact, but I would like to remove them to thoroughly clean the pivot and mounting bolt. Thanks for any "light" you can shed.

Nobody makes that clip to my knowledge. I believe it is riveted on, so you could drill out the rivets and re-rivet back in place later.

Contact Fred at Southside obsolete for NOS. I believe they are on his web site.

Thank you for the lead to Fred at Southside Obsolete. He does have them on his website, and I left him a phone message. My clips are not riveted. They are secured by a bent tang at each end. There is a notch at one end of the clips, and it appears that they should slide away from the notch and lift out. Has anyone done this? Thanks. Larry Keough.
