On my 35 Ford only one spark plug is sooted on the drivers side next to the firewall all the rest are good, could it be a bad plug? Thankyou. S.

I would look at the wire, is it still plugged into the inner cap? Perhaps it is shorting inside the conduit. You can always clean the plug, and swap it with another to see if it is the problem.
