We crossed the Mississippi and are in Clinton IA. Everything running good but when I went to move the car it would not turn over and then did just fine. Either a starter button or solenoid which I do not anticipate as major. The day started with me making a wrong turn and probably killing an hour off. But I did nice ride on a 1928 section of the Lincoln Highway and got some nice pictures of a barn. It is enjoyable driving through the wide open spaces. But all was not lost as I met up with a 32 sedan and a 32 roadster. Drove with them all the way to the Ross township museum where Regional Group 56 met up with us. From there we were off to Oswego IL where there was a car show and lunch for us at Riverview Ford. And from there we went to the Lincoln Highway tourism headquarters in Franklin Grove IL. It is housed in a building built by Abe Lincoln's cousin. And from there it was to the hotel. The drive today was pretty good except for all the traffic and construction in Illinois. We snuck underneath Chicago so that was not too bad. And as has been happening the group gets separated and then we end up finding each other as we have the route to follow. Here is a photo of part of the group as they stopped in Oswego, IL, Friday. A few had service at the Ford Dealership that hosted the show/lunch. Everyone seemed to be in great spirits and enjoying the tour. Best of luck as your journey continues. Ken
