Regional Group 5 had theier Apple blssom tour late this year so we called it the "No blossom tour" After a liesurely ride and a stop at Bolton Orchards we had dinner at the Manor in West Boylston Ma. Then down the street we went to Mike O'conner's house where we enjoyed desserts in his restored diner.

Do you know what route this group of members will be using in the last 200 miles as they are about to arrive at the Tahoe meet ?

Frank, no matter where we are V-8ers are always caught eating. It must be a club requirement! Thanks for the photos.

  Tom and Frank..............
I have been a member since 1976 and it has always been the 'WE ATE' Club.
The cars bring us together to eat.

This tour is not the Grand Tour from Gettysburg, PA to Lake Tahoe. They will be traveling along the Lincoln Highway and will be posting updates in the Current News section of the website.

Grant, as Tom O stated the driving tour to the Grand National is utilizing the Lincoln Highway/US-50. The plan is to stop in Ely, NV on Friday 6/14, travel from Ely, NV to Fallon, NV on Saturday 6/15 and finish up on Sunday 6/16 from Fallon, NV to South Lake Tahoe, NV. I wish you and Dale a safe trip down from Canada and look forward to seeing you at the meet. LouB.

  Hi Lou !

We look forward to seeing you too. Our reservation is at Harrah's, checking in ...... hopefully ...... on Sunday June 16th.

What are you driving ? How many are in your group ?

Which route are you folks planning to use on the run back home ?

Lou46    -- 06-05-2013 @ 9:54 AM
Grant, I'm flying to the meet. However, I'm travelling vicariously through Frank, Fred and Bill, fellow Ford owners who are taking the cross country trip. Bill started in CT (1934 Ford) and Frank left MA (1949 Ford) to pickup Fred in NY. I wish them all good weather and happy motoring....LouB.

Okay. See you at Registration or shortly thereafter.

O.K guys, for those of you on Hwy 50 be sure to get gas in your cars whenever you encounter a station. I've traveled 50 many times and it's a great road for old Fords. Very little traffic and a good road. If you have time in Ely you can ride the old steam train there. If you stay at the Copper Queen Motel/Casino they have a good breakfast there.
