have a coupe trying to put back together...do not have the set screw that holds the lock cylinder in the door...tried a #10 screw ...too small....#12 screw...too large....what does it take.....Thanks

I believe the proper lock set screw is P/N 89658-S7 it is 3/16-32 X 13/16 long with a screw driver slot. The OD of the 3/16 set screw is about 0.187" and the #10 is about 0.188, so the # 10 set screw should work in place of the 3/16. It would appear and is very possible someone drilled out the original set screw. This may have enlarged the hole slightly so the original size will not fit.

Generally it's a #10 set screw. I use the allen head type and you can get them at Ace Hardware or auto parts stores. Do you see threads in the hole? If no threads someone drilled out the original screw or stripped the threads getting it out. If the #10 is too small and the #12 too big you might consider using a metric tap that falls between the two and using a metric set screw.
