Put in new shackle on right side, cant get rear spring to line up to shackle. Car on jack stands, brake cables lines off same for shocks. Can jack up on spring until car raises up and same time raise axle, still cant to line up. Any help on this?

You need a spring spreader. jacking up the spring / car won't do the trick.

You can do it that way, I and lots of others over these 75 years have done it. The trick to know is that the one installed shackle is the sideways adjustment for alignment of the other shackle and spring eye. Just crank that shackle clockwise or counterclockwise as required. You don't want to lift the car off the jack stands, though. Work safe, think every move and take your time. Alan
