Just wanted to confirm torquing aluminum heads on a V-60 engine should be 30 ft-lbs. Thanks

35 to 40 foot pounds. Start at the center and work from there, alternating directions.

Thanks, worked well and fired up the engine for first time. Ran well till coil died.........this was the second one purchased and now I understand Skip Haney must be a busy guy as thats where I'm headed. Carpenters said don't even send their coil back as they don't need them for return. Sad, but thanks to the expertise still out there assisting our hobby.

If you are going thru coils, check to see that the resistor is properly installed and hooked up. It acts as a kind of voltage regulator which protects against burning up the coil as the system voltage rises and engine speed increases. The coil input voltage with the ignition on and the points closed should be about 3.5 volts.
