I have a 31 model A and going to install the B distributor with the centrifugal advance. I also have a B timing cover to get the D-Dent to the right spot to achieve BTDC.... 1. Do i just set the timing like any other model A, but turning the cam JUST before the points open or is there a secret to getting it just right, 2. How do i adjust the little screw on the side....to dial it in perfect..any help would be appreciated. Thank you Mark

Here is a link to timing a Pertronix conversion of a Model B distributor in a Model A. A point distributor should time very similar. http://www.fordgarage.com/pages/ignitorB.htm While you are on the site, check out the video of how to tell when your Model A is timed right. Tom
