h*llo guys ...further to my previous post regarding my imported from usa 51 f.1 truck handbrake ratchet problem ...I,v got a 39 coupe under restoration and almost finished ,my truck is ready for our u.k roadworthy (m.o.t.)inspection so I can get it registered in my name for me to use on u,k roads and everything must work to their high safety standards and the handbrake ratchet would not pass this test so I,m very reluctantly looking to "borrow "the 39 brake lever and put it on the truck and when I can get a replacement or get the original truck lever repaired return the 39 lever back , the question I,m asking is although they appear to be the same is the swop a simple change ,I don't want to tear them apart and it doesn't work , thanks for your help ,regards jim.
