Topic: 32 and Early Ford distributor

I helped a friend with his 1932 Ford distributor this week, what a piece of engineering! I understand you need a test fixture to properly set them up. Can anyone tell me where I can purchase one. It may be a Hershey item but I din't even know what they look like, or what I would have to pay for it. I can' recall ever seeing one on E-Bay.

The 32 distributor is a one year item and is very expensive. It has an oiler at the front of the casting for the end bushing that 33-41s don't have. Last one I saw for sale a couple of years ago was $1200. 33-41 "helmet" type distributors are nowhere near as expensive, cores go from 10-50 at swap meets.

If it is the machine you are looking for and not the distributor, older Sun and Allen machines with the right adapter can do the trick. I have a 1955 Sun machine that works great on the old Ford distributors. Restored ones like the 32 distributor are also expensive, ones that just work can be found for a few hundred dollars.
