Anyone know where I can locate a vent/fill solution for relocating the stock tube on a 1949 flathead to the fuel pump stand location? Installing an electric fuel pump and would like to clean up the front of the motor by relocating the stock tube. I've tried the usual suspects (speedway, mac's, etc) with no luck. Thanks Michael

Michael: I don't know of any off the shelf solution, but you could use a 32-48 fuel pump stand with a block-off plate for the fuel pump opening, and then simply find a suitable freeze plug to block the filler tube hole in the front. I wouldn't attempt to eliminate the curved vent pipe however, as your oil pan does not have the early style vent outlet.
