Topic: 1937 Ford V8 Phaeton Wheel Rim color

Much appreciated if someone could please let me know what color the wheel rims on my 1937 Ford V8 Phaeton were originally painted.

The car itself was originally Bright Vineyard Green and I have repainted it the same color. I am attaching a photo.

According to the Early Ford V-8 Club of America 1937 Ford Book - Page 4-1:

"Wheels on DeLuxe cars were painted body color."

"Wheels on Standard cars were painted gloss black."

Page 4-2 :

"The hubcaps on DeLuxe cars were painted body color."

"The hubcaps on Standard cars were painted black."

Nice looking car. Hubcaps and wheels will look good painted bright vinyard green. Good Luck.

Thanks Tony ! I painted the rims body color and they look fantastic. Attached is a photo of the dashboard that I have wood grained. Would you say that this is the correct shade ? Also, is the steering wheel the right color ? It goes nicely with the grain and the gauges but I'm not sure what the original steering wheel looked like.
