Topic: Replace rear side window glass on '40 Tudor

I am sure I have seen the procedure to change the rear side glass on a '40 Tudor but I can't find it. I have two members that need it. Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks, Jim Snyder

Easy to do, you do not remove the regulator to replace glass assembly or do you have to remove the glass assembly to replace the regulator. Takes two people just like Ford did on assembly line. One outside with two rubber suction cups (must) to hold glass in full up position and slide it back to vent (smoker position)on command to install the front roller in channel. One inside to do all the work, with regulator in full straight position up only, the inside guy "pinches" the rollers (through holes in panel) to start them in channel front first, then put in channel stop screw, for front roller. Stop screw makes the window slide back to vent position. Then adjust inside handle on regulator up and down 1-2"s to install rear roller. Takes about 5 minutes to put in glass assembly or regulator. Hint, if using new glass "runs" flare the tops on front and rear to match the steel "run" holders or glass may bind when coming down. In changing glass channels if Ford genuine channels are used no problems. If using aftermarket glass channels (Argentina) you must modify-match them to ford spec with old channels, they are way off. Good luck.
