Is a '52 and '53, 3 speed stanard transmission interrchangeable?

According to the 1949-54 Ford passenger chassis parts catalog,the 52-54 Ford stick without overdrive has the same part number: B4A 7003-A. The 49-50 has part number 7A 7003-A snd the 51 has part number 1A 7003-C.
