Topic: Florentine Blue with maroon interior

41SuperDeluxe    -- 02-17-2013 @ 10:49 AM
My 41 Club Coupe was changed over to a Merc convertible maroon leather benches as part of its period soup up after WWII
The car no longer has it's maroon benches - but I am considering going back to the maroon leather and would like to see if anyone gas pictures of thus color combination.

Also was it possible in 41 to special order leather benches in a body style other then the convertibles?

Thanks,
John

Those would be good questions for LeBaron-Bonney. Their assistance line is 978/388-3811.

I though LB would have been able to confirm - but they had no idea
So if I can get an idea what the color combination looks like - I may go ahead and buy the hides from LB and have the benches covered

Florentine Blue was available on both the Ford and Mercury in 1941. The interior colors were supposed to be compatible with any exterior color. Here is a link to the 41 Mercury brochure that shows the maroon interior with cotswold gray exterior. The colors in a brochure are not exactly like the actual colors, so I would ask for a sample of the leather and place it on the car so you can see if you like it.
