  I would like to decipher the following cowl numbers on a 1950 convt.
BH (could be RH)
76
K
H
8 (a little higher stamping)
4F671

  According to the club's 49-50-51 Ford Book:

RH - Richmond, CA (The other plant w/ H as second letter is Chicago (CH)
76 - Custom Deluxe Convertible Coupe
K - Sportsman Green Paint
H - Chartreuse & Black Interior
8F - Assembled on June 8 (or 4F for June 4)
671 - Production No. 671 (meaningful only at the plant)

  Remember that numbers stamped in the cowl are not VINs. The number has no significance except that it was used internally at the particular assembly plant and for whatever information that can be gleaned from it. This information varied from plant-to-plant, although this particular number is similar to the number affixed to my '51 truck that was assembled in Somerville. Some plants didn't use these numbers.
