I have several wiring diagrams showing a rheostat for adjusting the brightness of the dash lights. I have been under the dash several times looking for a knob or some other way of adjusting the brightness. If you where the rheostat is located please tell me. Thanks for your help. Bob

Just to the right of the ignition lock on the lower lip of the dash panel. Only the small (round) plastic knob protrudes through the dash.

Those dash light dimmers are always a problem. Sometimes just working them will help, but if you need a replacement, the standard (sand) is 01A-13740-A, the deluxe (maroon) is the same number with a "B" suffix. They are $25 at C&G. We seldom replace them, and just jump the wires. The dash lights are seldom so bright that they require dimming, anyway.
