Topic: 35 Frame Dimensions

I'm looking for advice / help. I'm trying to repair previous frame damage on my 1935. The frame horns seem to be too narrow. I have measured three frames and there is quite the deviation between the frames. Does anyone know the correct frame dimensions from the engine cross member forward? I can move the frame horns outward to successfully instal the radiator splash shield but should I be moving the frame to align sheet metal or adjust the frame to a known dimension. If I align the splash shield to the frame, it puts the distance between the radiator mounting brackets past my widest frame measurement. FYI: The engine is out of the car and the sheet metal from the cowl forward is off. Sorry for the lengthy post.
Thanks for your help!

  Hi

I'm not sure if this will help, but it's the best info I've found. Wescottsauto.com has frame dimensions for our cars see attached link.

I have several 35's that are partially disassembled with bare frame exposed from firewall forward. If you would like me to take some measurements for you, take some digital pictures of your frame and add dimension lines exactly where you need measurements and email that to me. Send me a personal message here that includes your email address if you want to do this.
