While searching for a used rear axle for My 35 Tudor I happened into a "stash of axles" & going through them We discovered some 35' thru 38' axles with 18 side gear teeth that were from 1/2" to 3/4" shorter than the standard 32.85 inches long... Not just the threaded part of the axle but the taper as well. Can someone give Me some information on these shorter axles?

If you look through the green parts book under the basic part number 4235, you will find length and # of teeth such as 18-4235 32.18"long-18 teeth.

I am guessing that those axles you are measuring that are not the same length as your original 35 axles, are not actually 35 to 38 axles. JM
