I have a 40 ford coupe that I currently am restoring as a street rod.I have complete new cowl sides.My question is are there any tips to replacing these cowl sides?If there is anyone that has done the same job can you share your experience,Thank You

Replacing sheet metal can be tricky, involving tools to provide an overlap crimp and stitch welding, necessary to prevent panel warping. Almost always, it is a job best left to a good body shop.

I would make sure the car is secured to the frame before doing any repair of the cowl. Warping can easily occur if the car is not on the frame.
