I HAVE A 1939 MERCURY SERIES 99 CONVERTIBLE. I AM LOOKING FOR SOMEONE REPUTABLE TO REPAINT AND DRESS UP THE ENGINE AND COMPARTMENT CORRECTLY. THE ENGINE IS EXCELLENT MECHANICALLY. THE EXTERIOR AND INTERIOR ARE ALSO EXCELLENT CONDITION. I AM LOOKING TO BRING THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT TO EQUALLY EXCELLENT CONDITION. DOES ANYONE KNOW OF A REPUTABLE SHOP IN THE SOUTHWEST CONN OR NEARBY AREA?

If you are a V-8 Club member use your roster and call some of the guys in your area. They usually know who can do the job and do it correctly. The roster is one of the best benefits(besides the V-8 Times) of the club.

Try Vintage Motorcars in Westbrook CT. 860-399-2311. Fair labor rate, good work but expensive in the long run because they take their time. Get an estimate.
