I have been sorting out this truck, prioritizing things and making a list. I noticed that the metal on the top section, at the hinge point is rusted to the point that the rivets are tearing out. Anyone seen this before and were you able to repair? I thought about putting in a strip of metal to back up the existing, but am thinking that there might not be enough left to hold those rivets. Big swap meet in Turlock at the end of the month. Maybe this should go on my list of things to look for. Side panels are in much better shape. I would hate to loose the whole thing. Am trying to maintain originality of the truck.
