Is there a way to tell if an electric motor is 6v or 12v if it has no info or markings on the motor ? Maybe by using a multimeter ? Thanks guys...

Without markings, it is difficult to determine the proper voltage, and what type of motor it is. I'd try it with a six volt battery to see if it will run at speed. If not, try 12volts.

I purchased the motor as a 6v blower, and if left to run for a while on 6v 3a it picks up speed and runs ok. However, when I run the motor on 12v 3a it blows the way I would expect it to. I posted some pics of the blower on the forum and just by appearance alone I would think this blower dates back to the 40s or 50s . All cars were 6v until 55' so I figured it must be 6v but now,who knows.
