Can anyone tell me with certainty what shock arms are correct for the front of a 39 Ford?
I am fairly I know but would like some other opinions. I would especially appreciate any documentation (reference to) that you may have.

I can NOT tell you with certainty! The Feb. 20, 1940 Chassis parts book list two different shocks for the front of the 39 112 inch. Either 81A-18045-A & 46-A which are carried over from 1938 (adjustable packing gland) OR 91A-18045-A & 46-A for the 91A, C, 99C, 922A, C, 91Y, 92Y and the 99A (spring loaded packing gland non-adjustable as 1940). The arms are NOT stamped with the number 10.
The 38-39 restoration book list for 39 front 81A-18045-A1 & 46-A1 for early 39 with "separate ring wing and flange" used until May then the 91A suffix -A was used. These shocks had a shorter arm 5.97 to 6.03 inch C/L to C/L. The 81-18045-A2 and 46-A2 with one piece ring wing and flange were not used for 39 front shocks.
