I am installing new metal glass channels in the rear windows of a 1937 Ford Fordor. The existing glass is OK. The channels are not. MY problem is how to remove the glass from the old glass channels without damaging the glass. The bedding holding the glass in the channels has a fabric base. If you have been down this road before and can give me directions it would be most appreciated.

The easiest way is to lay the glass flat and place a block of wood against the channel and use a hammer to tap the block and knock the channel off of the glass. Tom
