Wiring up the dash for my 53 Sunliner-converted to 12V. Using voltage reducer for gauges, except for ammeter. Polarity is reversed to negative ground, am using an alternator as well. Is there a way to make original ammeter function? If the induction will work, do I need to reverse the direction the wire goes thru the induction loop? Any of you gauge geniuses our there. thanks John Wells

The original ammeter will work just fine. Simply reverse the induction wire so the gauge will read charge and discharge correctly.
