Today his name is Craig Chad. I received an email from him this morning about a Lincoln brochure which is advertised in LZOC's classified ads. Once again, this fellow's messages are easily recognized.....bad spelling and hopeless grammar.

Thanks to HEMMINGS, I plan to publish a 4-page article in the Jan/Feb V-8 TIMES on SCAMS and how to spot them and what to look for either buying or selling cars/parts, etc. In the meantime, go to HEMMINGS website and scroll down the directory on the left and you'll see a link to some of this material. This prompted by a V-8 Club member who almost got scammed when looking for a V-8.

Most of these scams are from Nigerians. They pretend to be from England, but the e-mail address a dead give-away. I had one recently from the Netherlands, but they guy claimed to be from England. Some of the guys on the Fordbarn have been playing e-mail tag with these scammers, but I think that is real risky. You could wind up with these crooks sending you a virus through your e-mail and causing you a ton of grief and $ to repair your computer. If it looks "fishy" I would not respond to the ad.
