I have been unable to find replacement hubcaps for my 1937 Ford. I can buy 1936 hubcaps. I realize the 1936 caps are not correct for a 1937 car but they would look better than the crummy caps I have on the car. Hopefully someone in the early ford fraternity has the answer!

The answer is to keep looking for what you need. Don't settle for the '36 caps unless you're prepared to answer why you settled. The questions will never end! Alan

By regular suppliers, I take it to mean you think there may be some outfit making repop hubcaps. There are those, but the '37, as far as I know, has never been reproduced. You'll have to put down the catalogues and start shopping the swap meets and the Classifieds. Your hubcaps are out there. Alan

Oldad, I don't know if you can buy anything from the Cracker Barrel chain but there are very good original 37 hubcaps hanging in the rafters of a Louisville store. In fact two stores in that area have enough for a full set. They have very small holes drilled close to the edges to hang them by wires. I am going to Louisville this weekend ,6/24/12,and will see if they are still there. Don

There is an ad on Fordbarn right now on the early v8 swap site for 1937 hubcaps. Where I would look for them is on Ebay, I have seen nice ones on there,you have to search everyday 1937 Ford or some people list them under "37 Ford" and check out daily "Flathead Ford" for listings that the seller knows it is Ford but not sure of the year.

Long long long time ago, I purchased a 1936. I too was looking for better hubcaps. At the time, being a 'rookie' I purchase lots of nice hubcaps....but they were all 1937 caps. Seems, I realized I had too many 1937 caps and went and bought a '37 to go with the caps. Well, the '37 has been gone for 15 years now. (remember -- innies and outties) Please explain what condition of 1937 caps you are looking for -- better than crummy, fair, good, very good, or restored to show quality. There maybe some good ones still out there that are above your crummy status. You could always upgrade and use 1938 caps. There are two different styles for that year. Oldad, I checked the Fern Creek store and they are not there and I think that was one of the two stores with them in their rafters. There are only two other Cracker Barrel stores in Louisville that I have visited in the past one is close to Autobon Park and the other is on the East side of town. I have been looking at 37 caps on internet pictures and the club books and the caps I saw in Louisville may be 38 or 39 standards. They did not have a painted area around the V8. They were bright metal except black area around the center. My daughter lives in Fern Creek and my time here is too short to visit the two more distant stores. Good luck in your search. Don

nelsb01, Thanks for your response! Beauty is in the eye of the beholder but I would want good to very good. I do not propose to show the car but it has had a repaint and the exterior is between a #2 and #3 and i want caps to match. Oldad
