Topic: 16 " radial tires

This is probably a much asked subject, but not by Me so thanks in advance.. I want to run radial tires(tubeless) on 1935 Ford stock 16" wire wheels. Will the rims hold air without tubes and will the filler valve fit and hold air(it looks close to the rounded part of the rim)? Any suggestions as to size and brand that will look and handle good. I haven't considered wide white walls because of cost... input please. JT

  JT,

Any reason you want to run tubeless? I have Coker 600-16 radials on my '36 and love them. I installed tubes - you need to locate tubes made for radial tires. I know Carquest used to stock them.

Summary is: they work and ride nice, tubes are preferred, not for judging, they don't last as long as bias ply.
It's your choice.
