I've had 3 39s and the other 2 had the 59AB with a crab distributor. It seemed to me a lot easier than my current original distributor. As the current car is finally starting and idling, my attention is focused on the distributor. You will need to replace your 3 hole cover with a 2 hole front gear cover and the spacer that Dick S sells. That's all. John

thanks, John...I've got the distributor on the way and will get the adapter from Spadaro. While I've got you on the topic, I can't remember how the coil mounted. It had two holes about 4 inches apart at the bottom of the coil. Was it on a bracket hung off the intake manifold?

Parrish You are correct, there is a stamped metal bracket that bolts on the intake manafold next to the generator for the coil. Ted
